Youthbank run two funds that operate in Essex – the Youth Opportunity Fund (for revenue costs) and the Youth Capital Fund (for capital costs). You can apply for a grant that draws on both of these funds. The fund is dominated by the idea of youth – youths need to put the bid in themselves and the bids are then evaluated by a panel of people 19 or under. The projects must be run by youths for youths, or they will not be considered. The next deadline for applications is March 22. In the first instance, please contact Christine Chester at Essex County Council to ask for an application form. She can be contacted either by post or by telephone, as follows.
