Community IT Project

The Community IT Project offers FREE computer training for people of all ages who want to learn basic computer skills.

Training is delivered over 4 1.5 hours sessions (1 session per week) at the Tyrells Centre, Thundersley by volunteer tutors with a maximum of 10 learners in each class.  Learners are asked what they would like achieve and sessions are taken at each individual’s pace.  We cover the basics from turning on and controlling the mouse to sending emails and accessing internet to creating, printing & saving documents.

By using volunteers to organise courses and deliver the training we are able to offer the sessions free of charge.  Attendees may like to make a donation to cover the cost of paper and printing at their own discretion.

If you would like to attend one of these courses please contact CAVS on 01268 638416.  You can also contact the team direct by emailing community.it@cavscastlepoint.org.uk.

There is currently a waiting list but we will endeavour to get learners on a course as soon as possible.

The project is run by volunteers so please allow 7 days for a response.
