Community Breakfasts

These are held four times per year in March, June, September and December.  Invitations are sent to local community groups and statutory bodies with information in the local press and community notice boards to raise awareness in the general public.  These events are open to everyone who is keen to learn more about services available to them provided by statutory and voluntary organisations.

Volunteer Centre Events

Each year in June we host the Volunteer Awards to mark Volunteers' Week.  Organisations and members of the public can nominate a volunteer to receive recognition for their dedication and efforts.  This event is by invitation only.

At Christmas we hold a Volunteers' Christmas Party.  This is open to any volunteer in Castle Point.  Invitations are sent to individuals who have been placed through the Volunteer Centre and to local volunteer involving organisations.  We raise awareness of this event through local press to encourage other volunteers to attend.

AGM

This is held annually in either October and November.  As well as the formal AGM process such as election of trustees we combine the event with a topic of interest to the local voluntary sector.

External Events

As well as organising in-house events CAVS also works with its stakeholders to promote and encourage attendance at a number of events in Castle Point.  These include the Castle Point show and LSP events.
