About CAVS
CAVS is a CVS (Council for Voluntary Services)
CVS operate throughout the UK and although services vary between organisations they follow five core functions as set out by the National Association of Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA). The core functions to the local voluntary and community sector are as follows:

Can CAVS help with recruiting Volunteers?
In addition to the CVS core functions, CAVS assists with the recruitment of volunteers for local groups. If you would like more information on how CAVS can help you please contact our office on 01268 638416.

Can all Voluntary or Community groups use CAVS Services?
Yes, providing they cover the Castle Point area. Certain services are cheaper for CAVS member groups. Membership costs £8.50 per year. If you are thinking of starting a new group in the Castle Point area CAVS membership is free for your first year of operation.

EQUIPMENT/BOOK LOAN Free
NEWSLETTERS Free including advertisements placed.
These facilities are available to non-members at an increased rate.
Can CAVS help the Public?
We are able to provide details of local community organisations (e.g. older people's clubs, sports clubs etc, youth groups etc)
Our Community Breakfasts are open to everyone who is interested to learn more about their local community.
Anyone looking to volunteer can find assistance at our Volunteer Centre.
Families can benefit from services provided by the Children's Centres.
